Welcome to the Deciduous Cup Specific Rules. These rules supersede any conflicts with the standard rules. If a situation isn’t covered by these Cup Specific Rules, then the standard rules will apply.
9.1 Cup Format
- Cup fixtures are randomly drawn each season.
- All cup matches are played in a BO3 (Best of 3) format.
9.2 Cup-Specific Player Eligibility
Cup-Tying Rule
- When a player participates in a League Cup match for a team, they become cup-tied to that team for the duration of the Cup. This means they cannot represent any other team in the same Cup season.
Enforcement of Cup-Tying
- It is the responsibility of each team to ensure their players have not participated in the Cup for another team. Violation of the cup-tying rule will result in forfeiture of the match in which the ineligible player participated.
9.3 Emergency Agent Rules for the League Cup
Definition and Eligibility
- Emergency Agents (EAs) for the Cup are players not currently cup-tied or signed to any team still competing in the Cup competition. EAs can be used in circumstances where a team lacks sufficient players to field a full squad.
Cup-Tying of Emergency Agents
- Similar to regular players, EAs become cup-tied to the first team they play for in the Cup.
Usage in Multiple Matches
- Recognizing the potential for limited player availability, EAs cup-tied to a team may participate in multiple matches for that team during the Cup.
Approval and Limitation
- The use of EAs must be approved by a League Referee via a support ticket, citing the reason for their inclusion. Teams are encouraged to seek approval well in advance of their match.
- There is a limit of two EAs per match.
Responsibility of Teams
- Teams are responsible for verifying the eligibility of their EAs, ensuring they have not played for another team in the current Cup season.
