Certified Organizations may register a B Team in a lower division to develop talent and allow roster flexibility. This system offers more freedom than the Development Pool but includes light structural limits to ensure competitive integrity.
8.1 Definition and Purpose
- A B Team is a secondary roster fielded by a Certified Organization in a lower division (Challenger or TSR).
- Its purpose is to:
- Develop emerging players
- Provide internal subbing and promotion options
- Support long-term org structure and continuity
8.2 Eligibility & Registration
To field a B Team, an organization must:
- Be a Certified Organization (see Org Tiers)
- Field a team in Pro or Challenger
- Register a B Team in a lower division (including TSR)
- Use distinct branding (logo, name, or kit variation)
- Submit the B Team as a separate roster during signups via ticket
8.3 Subbing & Promotion Rules
β General Movement Rules
- Certified Orgs may sub or promote players from their B Team at any time
- These movements:
- Bypass Development Pool or Emergency Agent systems
- Do not count as transfers
- A player may only play for one team per matchweek
π Movement Limits
| Rule | Limit |
|---|---|
| Max A Team matches before being locked to A Team | 6 per season |
| Max returns to B Team after playing for A Team | 2 per season |
| Total matchweeks a player can participate in | Unlimited (but only one team per week) |
π Example: A B Team player subs into Pro for 4 matches, then returns to the B Team. Later in the season, they sub up again and hit 6 total Pro matches β they are now locked to the A Team for the rest of the season.
π Process
- All movements must be submitted via the league ticket system before matches begin
- Admins may deny swaps made in bad faith or submitted late
8.4 Draft Protection
- Players on a B Team cannot be drafted via the Development Pool
- Protection lasts as long as the player is registered on the B Team
8.5 Competitive Integrity
- A and B Teams must compete independently and in good faith
- No match manipulation, intentional forfeits, or βriggedβ results between teams
- Violations may result in:
- Match forfeits or reversals
- Suspension of B Team privileges
- Removal of Certified Org status
8.6 Division Conflict Rule
- B Teams may not play in the same or higher division as their A Team
- If a B Team qualifies for promotion to the same division as the A Team promotion is blocked.
- If an A team is relegated to the same division as a B team, the B team is also relegated.
8.7 B Team Eligibility Cap
- A Certified Organization may not roster more than 7 players total across their A and B Teams who have Pro Division EP
